About The Villages Golf Cart Repair

The Villages Golf Cart Repair is an independent, locally operated mobile repair service. A technician comes to your driveway, garage, or cart barn anywhere in The Villages — plus Lady Lake, Summerfield, Leesburg, and Wildwood — and fixes the cart where it sits. Batteries, brakes, tires, chargers, solenoids, motors, and gas-cart service, with flat pricing quoted before any work starts.

Why mobile-only, here specifically

The Villages is the largest golf cart community in the world: roughly 85,000 registered carts across three counties, more than 100 miles of multi-modal paths, and a population that uses the cart the way the rest of the country uses a car. That creates a specific problem the traditional shop model handles badly: when your cart is broken, you have no easy way to get it to a shop. You’d need a trailer, a hitch, and a truck — three things a lot of Villages households gave up on purpose.

So we flipped it. The truck comes to you, loaded with the parts that fix most Villages carts on the first visit: battery sets, solenoids, brake shoes, tires, belts, and chargers. Describe the symptom when you book and the tech arrives prepared. The service call fee covers the trip and the on-site diagnostic, and it’s applied toward the repair when you approve the work.

What we are — and what we’re not

We’re straight about this because the industry often isn’t.

We are an independent repair service. Our technicians work on all major brands — Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, and Evolution — gas and electric, lead-acid and lithium. They’re experienced, insured, and local, and they see more daily-driver cart wear in a week than most shops in other towns see in a season.

We are not an authorized dealer, factory service center, or warranty agent for any manufacturer. Nobody riding on our truck will claim “factory certification,” because we don’t have it and don’t need it for out-of-warranty repair. If your cart is new enough that the failure is a warranty item, we’ll tell you to call your selling dealer — that’s cheaper for you than paying us, and we’d rather earn the next fifteen years of your cart’s maintenance than one dishonest invoice.

The same honesty applies to repair recommendations. A cart that won’t charge gets the charger and charge port tested before anyone quotes a battery pack. A load test tells us whether you need six new batteries or one. And when a repair costs more than an old cart is worth, we say so.

Built for how carts are actually used here

Villages carts aren’t weekend toys. They run daily errands across a community that stretches from the historic section near Spanish Springs down past Brownwood to the newest villages south of SR 44 — which means brakes, tires, and batteries wear on a schedule closer to a car’s than a golf course cart’s. Our two most-booked jobs reflect that: battery replacement when a pack ages out, and brake and tire work on carts that log thousands of low-speed miles a year. For carts driven every day, an annual tune-up catches most of it early.

Get in touch

Tell us what the cart is doing — gas or electric, brand if you know it, and the symptom. We’ll give you a flat quote and a scheduling window, usually same-day or next-day. Our full price ranges are published on the pricing page, and common questions are answered in the FAQ.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you an authorized dealer or warranty center?

No. We're an independent mobile repair service. We work on all major brands — Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, Evolution — but we don't do factory warranty work. If your cart is still under manufacturer warranty, your selling dealer is the right call for warranty claims.

Do you have a shop I can bring my cart to?

No shop — we're mobile only, and that's deliberate. In a community where the cart is the daily driver, trailering a dead cart to a shop is the hard part. We bring the parts and tools to your driveway or cart garage instead.

Who does the actual work?

Experienced, insured local golf cart technicians who work on Villages carts every day — gas and electric, all major brands. We're independently operated and local to the tri-county area.
